Your consultation is the first appointment in the process of receiving Kybella. During your consultation, you will share your goals for receiving Kybella treatments in Cincinnati, OH, and ask your questions. Our expert providers will take your medical history, discuss any risks pertinent to your history, and explain the process to you.
Once you have finished this initial consultation, and if our experts feel you are a good candidate for the procedure (read on below for more on this), your next step will be to schedule your first treatment!
Because Kybella is a non-surgical, very low-risk treatment, there are only a handful of reasons why you may not be a good candidate so long as you are in overall good health and are dealing with submental fullness.
Here are the most common reasons why you might not be a good candidate:
Your Cincinnati, OH, physician’s chief goal for you during your Kybella treatments is to ensure you will experience the results you are seeking in a manner that is completely safe and as risk-free as possible. In some cases, you may simply need to postpone your Kybella treatments (for instance, if your body is still healing from a surgery you have had).
Here are one patient’s results from just one injectable treatment.
Kybella Before & Afters
*Each patient is unique and individual results may vary.
You are probably curious to know what this treatment for the chin, Kybella is actually like! The great news is – Kybella treatments are simple and fast and you will start seeing results very quickly.
Injectable treatments will take just 10-15 minutes and are done on an outpatient basis. When you arrive at the office, you will be shown into your treatment room where you can immediately get comfortable in the treatment chair. First, our expert providers will administer a local anesthetic (either topical or injectable) to ensure you feel virtually no pain during your injections. Then, our experts will deliver a series of injections into the treated areas where the fat deposits are located, allowing Kybella to destroy fat cells in the treatment area.
Once the injection process is complete, you will rest for a few additional minutes before departing. Depending on your treatment goals, your Ohio physician may recommend that you schedule a second treatment (typically you will wait at least three weeks before your second treatment). Even patients with the most accumulated under-chin fat deposits typically have no more than six treatments before completely double chin removal or reaching their treatment goals.
Most patients choose to return to work the same day. However, you may wish to schedule your first appointment in the afternoon in case you might prefer to return home instead. Your first day (the day of treatment) and the day following you may experience some numbness until the anesthesia wears off. Afterward, you may see some redness and swelling or bruising around the areas where the injections were administered. This is very normal and we may recommend you to apply a topical numbing cream to help reduce the discomfort
Some patients also feel a bit of hardness around the injection sites. Here, gentle finger massage in these areas can help reduce discomfort, improve circulation and speed healing. If desired, you can ask your physician about the use of pain medication to ease any discomfort.
